Jesture Eggs
Jesture Eggs is a dance-theater production in which an absurd ever-changing duo slips in and out of gigantic silver skirts that anthropomorphize the Greenpoint digester eggs. While these steel tanks, also known as the “shit tits”, silently break down millions of gallons of Brooklyn sewage, the duo waltzes, shakes, lunges and shares secret handshakes in quick shifting scenes. Set to iconic film scores, the skirts morph from silver amebas to shimmering ball gowns, metallic rain ponchos to floating orbs, and ultimately, to two friends stumbling together through an oversized world of their own creation. Jesture Eggs is a love letter to classic cinema, a celebration of silly and a tender invitation to reimagine our relationships to each other and the cities we inhabit.
